About The Artist

"The record of one's life must needs prove more interesting to him who writes it than to him who reads what has been written."
(Elizabeth Kenny, Australian nurse)

Hi.  My name is Jeff.  I was born in 1952 in Riverside, New Jersey, but lived most of my life in Central Florida near Kennedy Space Center.  I moved to Northwest Washington in 1998.  I have known I was an artist since I was about seven years old when I began drawing cartoon characters from the comics in the newspaper.  I have been a photographer since I got my first 35mm camera in 1975.  I have also been a surfer, an astronomer, a chess player, a computer consultant, a writer and worked as a Communications Analyst at Kennedy Space Center for 20 years, among other things.  My published works include items in Science News, Astronomy, Scientific American, The Fisherman and Southern Life magazines, as well as Florida Today and The Orlando Sentinel newspapers, and CISS News at Kennedy Space Center.  I received a Certificate of Excellence from Interstate Color Lab, Inc. and have had two photography displays at the Merritt Island Public Library in Merritt Island, Florida.  I currently live in Birch Bay, Washington, with my beautiful partner, Cathy, and our two cats.
